Rick Strassman MD is Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry, University of New Mexico School of Medicine. His DMT and psilocybin studies in the early 1990s initiated the American revival of clinical research with psychedelic drugs. His book describing this research, “DMT: The Spirit Molecule,” has sold a quarter-million copies and is the basis of a popular independent documentary by the same name. As 2014 book “DMT and the Soul of Prophecy” introduces the ideas presented in this talk. Dr. Strassman is at work on the second volume of a autobiographical fiction series.
