Bruce Margolin

Bruce Margolin is has been a criminal defense attorney for more than 50 years, having successfully defended his clients against all types of accusations, from marijuana to murder. Timothy Leary is among his most notable clients. Margolin is also the founder and director emeritus of Los Angeles NORML (National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws), and previously ran for office (including governor and congress) on the platform to legalize cannabis. Margolin was the 1999 recipient of the Century City Bar Association’s Criminal Defense Attorney of the Year and has served as the co-chairman of the ethics committee for the NACDL (National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers). In addition, he also served as an advisor and helped author the California Prop 215 Medical Marijuana Initiative.
